What is Belotero®?
Belotero®, also known as Belotero Balance®, is a minimally invasive dermal filler treatment that is specially designed to fill in the nasolabial folds or laugh lines that appear in the face over time. Belotero® is made with hyaluronic acid, a naturally-occurring sugar in the body that binds to water to stimulate collagen production in the body and gives your skin its natural youthful plump. This dermal filler is durable enough to smooth away your laugh lines, while still being delicate enough to flex with your natural facial features.
What Can I Expect During my Belotero® Treatment?
Each of your Belotero® treatments will be performed in our state-of-the-art medical facility by Dr. Sarah Dolder or one of our other expert staff members. Before your Belotero® treatment begins, a topical anesthetic may be applied to the treatment area, typically the lower portion of the face around the mouth. Once you are numb and relaxed, a series of Belotero® filler injections will carefully be made to your treatment area. The entire treatment process generally takes less than an hour to complete.
What Results Can I Expect from Belotero®?
Because Belotero® is minimally invasive, there is no downtime or recovery period needed after each treatment. Most patients report being able to return to their normal daily activities, including work, immediately following their appointment. While some results of your Belotero® treatment will be visible immediately, ultimate results will appear once all swelling subsides, about five to seven days following treatment. The results of your Belotero® treatment may last up to six to nine months, however, Dr. Dolder and her staff may recommend treatments every six months to maintain your desired results.
