What is Voluma®?
Voluma® is a minimally invasive dermal filler treatment that replenishes volume in your cheeks for a youthful and glowing complexion. Part of the Juvederm® family, Voluma® uses a hyaluronic acid-based gel to plump up your sunken cheeks and under-eyes for a more rejuvenated and refreshed appearance. Voluma® has a unique formula that is sturdy enough to contour your facial features, yet is light enough to flex with your natural expressions, giving you results that don’t look “overdone” or “plastic.”
What Can I Expect During my Voluma® Treatment?
Each of your Voluma® treatments will be performed in our advanced medical facility by Dr. Sarah Dolder or one of our other expert team members. Before your Voluma® treatment begins, a topical anesthetic may be applied to the treatment area, typically the mid-face. Once you are numb and relaxed, a series of Voluma® injections will be carefully and strategically made to your treatment area. The entire treatment process generally takes less than an hour to complete.
What Results Can I Expect from Voluma®?
Because Voluma® is completely minimally invasive, most patients are able to return to their normal daily activities immediately following their treatment. While you may see some results of your Voluma® treatment right after your appointment, ultimate results will become visible in about five to seven days when all swelling subsides. The results of your Voluma® treatment have the potential to last up to two years. Dr. Dolder and her team still may recommend yearly treatments to maintain your desired results.
