Laser Skin Resurfacing (Fractora)

For the ultimate innovation in skin rejuvenation, Dr. Sarah Dolder of Greenwich Point Dermatology is proud to offer the Fractora device by InMode. A non-invasive alternative to fractional or CO2 laser treatments which ablate the skin’s surface, Fractora® delivers superior results with no downtime, prolonged redness, or pigmentation concerns.

This state-of-the-art technology delivers a reduction in skin irregularities, a more radiant skin complexion, and restores skin to a more youthful appearance. It is especially effective on reducing acne scars and treating active cystic acne.

About Fractora

The Fractora skin resurfacing device combines microneedling with bipolar radiofrequency energy to target a variety of skin concerns. Each treatment is highly customizable as the target depths and settings can be adjusted to treat superficial to deep concerns, revealing a smoother, more refreshed complexion. Microneedling stimulates the skin’s natural healing response to generate new skin cells while radiofrequency delivers thermal energy to aid in tissue remodeling and collagen production.

Fractora is used most commonly on the face and neck to treat:

  • Acne scars
  • Active cystic acne
  • Hyperpigmentation or uneven skin tone
  • Photodamage / sun damage
  • Uneven skin texture
  • Deep or fine wrinkles
  • Large pores

Fractora can also be used to safely and effectively stop excessive sweating. The intense thermal energy generated by the radiofrequency damages the sweat glands, disabling them.

Unlike many other resurfacing treatments, Fractora can treat a variety of skin tones and types as there is a lower risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Fractora Treatment

Prior to your treatment, a topical numbing cream will be applied to reduce any associated discomfort. This tip is applied directly onto the skin, and multiple passes will be done to each area for the best results. To further reduce patient discomfort during the treatment, we offer a cold air chiller that follows along the treatment device.

A Fractora treatment can last anywhere from 45-60 minutes, depending on the area being treated.

Fractora Results

The anti-aging effects of Fractora treatment require several weeks as the skin continues to generate new collagen and remodel using the body’s own healing properties.

Depending on your aesthetic goals, one Fractora treatment may be sufficient or a series of treatments may be required. During your consultation with Dr. Dolder, she can advise you on what option would be best for your individual needs.

Fractora Side Effects & Recovery

Unlike other more invasive laser treatments, there is no downtime with Fractora. You can return to your normal activities, being mindful to wear sunscreen and continuing with a nourishing skin regimen as the skin continues to recover post-treatment.
